This car better do 150+mph from the background I'm hearing about. A tin can with all the good parts and a turbo setup like that... No 150+ no care....
 
As I said before, people will rename sh*t whatever they want.. I've just never seen it called that. Bullseye calls it a 374 with a race cover, not a totally different turbo. This is why I said there is no such thing as an s375 because there's not. Ill call my s475 an s47500 because it also has the race cover... still doent change anything however LOL.

But as I said, I hope to see some good times and as with anyone else I wish the op the best and above all else, be safe.

I'm pretty sure the run he was talking about, he went through 1-4 and maybe had to shift in to fifth (i know my car is near top of 4th only running 12's) and missed the gear, which ever the top gear racing was and coasted through the traps at 11.2

Maybe he had to shift into 5th gear??? Were you in the car with him stroking his dick while he was driving? ### you definitely ain't stroking anything with us! Your car is at the top of 4th gear and you only run 12's? Just stop now! A DSM gearbox will trap 130mph @7k in 4th gear. If your car is trapping 130 and only running 12's, you sir, are NOT a good driver. Looking at your profile, you have a VERY lightly modified DSM, so I doubt you have any experience driving a car that traps 130+

As for the OP, sounds like a whole lotta conflicting stories here. Might wanna clear some of those inconsistencies up.
 
Nice build RACESTAR4G63!!!!!!!Looks to be the car is going to be a bad mofo.Good luck finishing it up.I know its hard with the family to support and such;-) as i know i have 2 kid myself and juggle my builds around family time..... BTW Tsimage why do you always come on peeps threads and try to act like you know it all???It really makes you look like a ASS!!!!!!So you gonna be ready for the track this year?????I really hope to see you at SAC. Raceway if you get you car finished.....I will be there I have 2 white GVR4's one has a BORG the other has a GARRET:) maybe we can kick them off at the track??? Big up's to everyone out there busting their ass to get their cars ready for the 2010 season!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its gonna be a really good year!!!!!!!

Because I'm allergic to bull sh*t. And I am an asshole, I never denied that, I embrase it whole heartedly. (I'm actually a nice guy) but the car should be done this year, I have 4 projects goin so its a labor of love, I'm in no hurry. We were out all last year with a few 10/11s DSM I built plus a few equally fast Honda's. I'm sure we'll cross paths.

thanks man I have 5 kids (2 in 09) a new house and its a pain in the ass to get things done. its nice to hear good things every so often. this is my first thread and im alot better at building cars than I am at this.

To correct myself, I think when my car running 12's just went in to fourth? Honestly i can't recall. With my old talon in 2002 i got a lot more seat time in. With the laser in 2009 i probably ran less than a dozen times. So based on this, I think the OP was trying to say he went through 1-3 ok but missed 4th gear and coasted through the traps. Which would make sense. Plenty of gear and strip to match his ET and MPH. But was i stroking his rooster while he was driving, no. I think my wife may have a problem with that. All i know is that i've seen the OP's car run and i know him as a friend and i also know his set up. My facts on his run may have been off, but he has no reason to come on the internet and try to bench race with you guys to impress you. This is the first thread he's ever started and just wanted show some people out there about his build, some started to question the accuracy, so i stepped in. Sorry if my info was less than accurate as well, but as i said it's been about 4 months since i ran my car and years since i saw the OP run his. But his car with his set up should trap somewhere near 150+ mph as stated above. If you want to hate on that too, you can just wait for the tracks to open and he'll post up a time slip.

I'm quite aware my DSM is lightly modded. Obviously i have nothing to prove as i'm still running a 14b and it runs pretty damn well too. I've been on dsmtuners just about as long as you have so weather i put the money in to my car like you or not, doesn't mean i think my car is fast or awesome. This is why i was discussing the set up of the OP and not my basic set up. I have a thread to discuss my car already, and that was started to get feed back and suggestions for a street/drag set up. This is my 5th dsm and I usually take the path to go the fastest with the least modifications while appearing somewhat stock and remaining streetable. but to get on topic:

Here is the point. You do NOT coast across the traps at 128mph if you NEVER get into 4th gear. I'm not gonna do the math to figure out what rpm is needed to even think about 128mph in 3rd gear. I'll just say it's mechanically impossible with our gear ratios.

So, that part about you saying it makes sense, makes NO sense.
 
MPH traps have more to do with than RPM and trans gear ratio. Ever think about tire size effecting his mph? As i said before, i wasn't in the car with him stroking the rooster so you'd have to ask him. Maybe he went in fourth and it was breaking up and had to lift. I've seen the car run, I didn't see THAT run.
 
You guys need to quit caring about what the car used to run and look forward to what it will run. I'm pretty sure no one care's about what happened on the old setup. Reading this drama/accusations makes me feel like I'm in highschool again.
Agreed, i just want to see the car put down a quick time with out any issues.

Do you have any plans on cleaning up your wiring??

Yeah he mentioned doing a wire tuck which should clean the car up nicely. His first priority is speed, then looks.

I have never heard of a 'S375' either. Race cover dosent re-name the turbo, a S372 with the race cover could be called the 'S372R'. Since the '72' part indicates compressor inducer size, that dosen't change when a race cover is used.

I believe the OP"s turbo is a S374, the website posted in the link is WRONG. However, they do have very good prices, lets just not try to spread misinformation based on one website mis-listing a turbo.

TSimage, are you using a BEP or BW turbo, I know the 400 series from BEP are T6, however from BW they have S400sx series turbo's which are extremely similar to BEP units (S300's) avail in T4. However, BW and BEP are not the same.

BEP and BW list their turbo's very similar with regards to the names of turbo's, except S400 series from BEP is T6, and from BW is T4 and T6 depending on the unit. However, BW recently stopped stocking BEP parts, since they have been outsourcing their parts since BW was getting slower and they needed to keep their customers happy. I can link you guys to the BEP/BW discussion and explination from BEP if you guys wish, just let me know. Theres a big thread over on another board (non honda)

The link I saw was on H-T but mine is a B&W. Bullseye was the ones outsourcing parts. B&W began building only to order and couldn't keep up with BEPs demand. Feel free to PM me..

So the OP says he has that turbo, the website says that it's available, and yet you still think that it doesn't exist??? If you want to bring a micrometer or what ever you need to do to identify his turbo, why don't you grab a plane ticket for Canada to Maryland and measure it yourself 'eh?

Thanks for the clarification Gooberlog... but I could understand the whole part about going fast first but why not do it right the first time around?? Anyways good luck with your build dude... hopefully you reach your goals this year.

yup hes got a point there. Truthfully that is all i wanted 2 do. just wanted 2 post my car on here and be a part of this great DSM community:cry:. All of u have bad ass dsm.I want to be the like u guys. this is my 5 DSM and second CSM.I just love the power of the 4g baby:cool:

I'd like to see this car actually hit the track, instead of us being the only DSM at most import events.
 
contact bep and they will tell you this turbo was mis-labeled on that website. im not going to argue anymore with you and your immature images you keep posting.
