So Friday night I was finally able to get my car to the track. SIR in Tucson AZ.
I put a couple gallons of 100 mixed with about 3 gallons of 91 so I was probably sitting at about 95 octane or so.
I'm not sure what my race weight is but judging by what I have taken out it should be about 3100 or so with me in it.
Anyways onto the runs. I'm running on only 15 psi creeping to about 16 or 17 by redline BTW. I'm also lifting to shift.
1st Run: Bogged the launch. Had the 2 step at 4500 which obviously wasn't high enough. This was a personal best and my first run with this setup. First time the car had seen a track in over a year and a half.
60' 2.307
330 6.144
1/8 9.151
MPH 83.61
1000 11.683
1/4 13.822
MPH 105.50
2nd Run: Accidentally loaded the wrong tune and ended up just cruising down the track
3rd Run: Moved my 2 step up to 5530. First time into the 12's for me. I was pretty happy about this run
60' 1.838
330 5.426
1/8 8.383
MPH 84.69
1000 10.854
1/4 12.955
MPH 108.30
4th Run: Removed my pass side headlight to let the FP intake get some more air
60' 1.814
330 5.310
1/8 8.185
MPH 86.80
1000 10.595
1/4 12.639
MPH 111.01
This was my best run of the night. I need to move my 2 step higher because my tires were still gripping well. I think I should be able to cut consistent 1.7 60' times without much trouble. I was really close on this run.
5th Run: This run was a little bit slower but still felt good. It almost felt like it bogged a little even with the 1.8 60'
60' 1.865
330 5.429
1/8 8.311
MPH 86.65
1000 10.739
1/4 12.801
MPH 109.10
Just for information the track is at 3030 feet elevation and the coolest temp on my 5th run was 79 degrees at 10:31 PM
.
I want to give big thanks to the DSMap community and Jackal for getting my car where it is. The car hauls for only 17 PSI and I can't wait to pump up the PSI when I get back from Afghanistan in February with some corn juice.
Let me know what you guys think. I know these times aren't the greatest but it was a great start with this new setup for me
Thanks to RMDSM.org for continued support and to the DSMtuners community for helping my car get faster and faster
