Charles you know I'm messing with you. I just think I want to see that car run single digits more than you do. Lets get that thing finished up before the track opens :thumb: Once your Talon is done and ready, if it hooks at the track, it's going to feel like this:...OMG

STOCK FOR A 89 DSM WITH 19 SPLINE TRANS AND NOT THE 92 WITH 23 SO I WAS LUCKY TO RUN THAT TIME BECAUS THAT TRANNY WOULD NOT SHIFT THATS WHY I SAID 3RD GEAR CAUSE IT WOULDNT GO INTO 4TH. i THOUGHT IT WAS A BAD PASS THEN SAW MY TIME SLIP AND SAID DAMN

90-91 output shaft on the trans was a 22 spline, not 19. And since you only had gears 1-3, you telling us you ran 128mph in THIRD gear? You wanna try explaining that again? 3rd gear in a DSM trans is 102-104mph @ 8k rpm. So you were running about 12k rpm to hit 128?

Looks like a monster in the making.:thumb:

U ARE GOOD.BUT A S475 IS A T6 AR'' S375 IS A T4 I HAVE THE T4 S375 AKA GT45 KILLER.

There is no such thing as a s375.. I'm sure you mean a s374 or a s372 both of which are smaller than an s475, which btw is available in a T4 framed hot side, ask me how I know..

I have also never heard it referred to as a "45r killer" either, because, lets be honest, no one in the DSM world really runs 45rs, so what's the point?

And those 30r times are actually pretty typical. That's about what everyone else runs with it, if not faster.

Either, please turn off your caps look key, it really makes reading your post a chore, and keep us informed of the progress, its always nice to see what everyone else is up to.

And last but not least, I think we are still trying to see if you can clear up how you managed to trap 128 in third gear, and if you indeed meant 1-4, why did you say you only ran 1-3 because you couldn't get it into 4th. All sounds a bit sketchy. But it is what it is. I wish you the best on the build.

Ok, let me clear some things up for the OP.
First off, i already told him his grammar and punctuation is bad enough to get booted from other sites. Luckily this site is pretty lenient. RACESTAR4G63 has been in the game for over a decade now and to be honest, like most dsm guys, the builds are down more than they are running. Mainly because he goes big or not at all. This build has been in progress for a quite a while so if his part numbers are off, that's kind of expected, and this is one of his multiple BIG builds if i may call it that. Not to mention taking care of 3+ kids at home and working all hours of the day, he is a busy guy. Any time of his spent posting on this forum is surely to be between his daily tasks so forgive him if his info isn't spot on. Not to mention the run he is referring to was years ago.
I'm pretty sure the run he was talking about, he went through 1-4 and maybe had to shift in to fifth (i know my car is near top of 4th only running 12's) and missed the gear, which ever the top gear racing was and coasted through the traps at 11.2 This car is a race car that gets trailered to the track. It's super light with only the strongest parts. This car is fully supported unlike some "builds" where people throw a fuel system and a big turbo on their car for a week and blow it up. This car is solid. DSS shafts and axles, 4"exhaust, top of the line rods pistons hardware bearings gaskets you name it. Once this thing is finished, it's going to be retarded fast. Not the fastest dsm ever, but faster than any import running at the local strip. BTW, the first few pics were old. Like said before 2010 should be a good year for dsm's. Keep up the good work.
