ok so im having a few issues with the car. it is running really rich and wont rev up past about 4 grand. it starts really rough and idles rough and blows white smoke under boost. i am new to dsms still learning. any help and thoughts would be awesome

Do a compression test sounds like you might be pushing coolant a good sign of a head gasket going bad due to stretched head bolts. And for running rich do a boost leak test. Do you have the bov recirculating.

yes my bov is recerculated. and what do u mean i might be pushing coolent. it has a brand new head gasket and valve cover gasket

Just because the gaskets are 'brand new' does not mean that they are properly sealed. Who did the replacement? Did they get the torque specs correct for the head bolts? Did they reuse the headbolts? If so, were they measured to check if they were still in spec? What pattern was the head torqued down in? The torquing process is vital when replacing a head gasket. How long did you drive the car after the head gasket replacement? After a bit of driving, did you re-torque the head bolts?

Ask yourself these questions, answer them for us, and then we'll be able to answer with more information.

@ XIKEYAZI I the replaced ecu my first one had leaky caps. when i got the car it just had a brand new head put on and it was a machined saw the receipts don't know if he had the shop put every thing together or if he did though. only drove it about three days before the ecu fryed its been down since. its ran kinda shitty when i got it ran worse when after my ecu fryed.

@ ilikerice what i mean is when i put my foot on the gas in neutral it will slowly rev up to about 4 grand and the just sit there kinda bouncing and its a manual.

update so i pulled my spark plugs completely black and reek of fuel. exhaust smells kinda funny but not like burning oil also exhaust was very wet inside the tip. and there's is a very tiny amount of white milky stuff in my oil and the oil is very watery not very thick it is due for an oil change though. but no separation like oil and water usually do when mixed.

Eh... You need to do a compression test, A-SAP, and by that I mean immediately. Sounds like you've got a major issue.

HEAD GASKET

yes the guy "just did it and had receipts" but milky oil means only one thing. There is water in the oil. There are only a few ways water can make its way into the engine oil, one of which could be operator error. Did you by chance wash the motor lately? Sometimes the oil cap either isnt sealing correctly or it is loose all together. The other way for water to make its way to the oil is a blown head gasket. I know it seems impossible but boy oh boy is it possible.

Hope that helps

thanks for the help every one so it sounds like a definite head gasket. i will do a compression test tomorrow. just to check. so when i replace the head gasket i should by new head bolts any thing else i should check or replace while im at it and have every thing torn apart. thanks for the imput. has brand new timing belt, intake and exhaust gasket, valve cover gasket, new head and internals.

Yes get new bolts but instead of stock stretch style bolts, get ARP brand bolts. You'll thank us all later

Good luck

6 bolts don't use torque to yeild head bolts.

The stock head bolts will be just fine, just make sure to get new ones though, or measure the stock ones to make sure they are within spec.

Also I'd check the supposed "new" timing components etc. Seems kind of shady.
