Is this worth fixing?

Found a 91 gst for sale on craigslist, have 2000 to put into it after buying. Do you think its worth fixing up? And how much do you think it will take to get it mechanically sound?

Well it seems to be a pretty good car. $2000 is plenty to get it in good running condition. Even if you had to buy a new engine and pay someone to install it you wouldnt even be over that price unless you took it to a dealer and payed 100 an hour.

Really depends on your ability, also depends on what a "few small parts" are. I think a shell could be had cheap here also. It will need paint for sure but I just wonder how the compression is on that motor. I would go with the mindset that it's a sell and will need a motor when going to look at it just to be safe.

Is it a gst or a Turbod gs? If its a gst then it is an ok deal. But dont buy someone elses project. But not worth 2 grand. Maybe 1200.

Is it a gst or a gs? If its a gst than 500 isnt a bad deal. Even a 420a isnt a bad deal for 500.
