its a 95 tsi awd, manual. 90,000 original miles. paid $2000 for it and have started fixing it up
the bad
-back brakes
-paint
-headliner
-o2 sensor or cat (cant remember)
-IAC
-exhaust leak from manifold
-turbo
-ABS (eh)
-SRS light is on
-belts
-hatch doesn't lock
-shifter bushings
-7 bolt

the good
-clean interior
-turbo timer
-boost controller
-k&n filter

why not?

thats all minor shi*.. everyone goes through fixing at least 4 off that list..

it was worth paying $2000 for it, what else would you have bought it for?

:idontknow:

Yeah I would buy it off you in a heartbeat. Those are minor things.

If the engine still runs good and the trans. is still good therefore the car is still good if its close to rust free.

How is it for rust? All of the things u mentioned are just little things that you could take a weekend and get them all taken care of. If it is not rusty, keep it and fix her. Or sell it to spawned. LOL

So whats wrong with it again???
You only posted maintenance and good stuff. You forgot to post the bad stuff.
Just replace these minor things, get the car to spec and then it will be ready to modify. Simple.

Shes worth fixing bud.. slap a 16g turbo in there and i PROMISE you'll wanna keep her
Yeah because with stock fuel you'll feel such a HUGE boost in teh uber power.

Keep it :thumb:

And why is it bad being a 7 bolt? That whole issue is way over-played in my opinion. Most likely even if it were to get crank walk it most likely would have happened already. That sounds like a great car for the price. Its just about 16 years old and stuff will break and need to be replaced. Just don't go spend every dime you have on performance goodies because sooner or later you will have to replace something that you will NEED to replace so have some money for that if it happens. Good luck with the car and MATINENCE before MODS!

No it's not, I will give you $6.71 for it, that's all I have in my pocket change cup.

i got 300 if u dont wanna fix it. that way i can park it with my 1g awd and fix them both at the same time or just drop a 6 bolt into it

Better yet i'll give you $14.37 and old sock i just found under my bed and whatever i can manage to scrape out from under neath my toenails!

but seriously just fix it.....

If you have the ability fix it. If you aren't into wrenching then sell it and get something newer. My shit needs a couple things too, join the club. LOL

Fix it, once you get all of that stuff done you'll love the car! I don't get what you mean by 7-bolt being bad. Replace the thrust bearings and your 100% fine.
