Looks like you got some coolant in there. Check to make sure you coolant isnt muddy like that. Might as well change the oil to check it as well, Wouldn't hurt.

if its coolant its possibly your oil filter housing if its water cooled or the worst a head gasket. drain your oil an check it out. if you see coolant do a compresion check but I doubt a a compresion would find a small head gasket leak

Well heres the story. When i picked up my car, my coolant reservoir fell over when i was driving home,it was a black reservoir one that sucked, and i lost alot of coolant.. It never reached H but got pretty hot.. I drained my oil and it was fine and coolant level was fine. So was compression and dynoed 410whp.. But then i changed the oil couple weeks ago and put new oil in.. But my oil filter gasket some how came loose and lost my oil and it was the same color as what the pic shows. So i am not sure if my HG is blown. Better not be i spent like 5k on my new motor.. What do you think..

I would IMO lean more twards an oil filter housings Im not to shure about 2gs but on 1gs they sometimes leak coolant to oil after overtightening the oil filter thats cheaper than a head gasket and you might be able to find a new or used one in the classifieds on here

so I know this is an old thread but I just drained my catch can and it looked just like this in the first pic........ coolant looks good and I'm not losing any.... and the oil on my dipstick looks good and clean too.... I just changed the oil last week and it looks fine aswell.... WTF ?!?! car does not smoke and runs great.... help I guess? im confused on what this could be...

I also just took the valve cover off to check and everything looks normal.... and I'm running an external oil cooler so that's not it either..... compression is 150 across the board

Probably just condensation getting in there and mixing with the oil in the catch can. You should be alright but keep a good eye on your systems over the next month just to be sure.

OP is in New York. It's been a bit cool lately. Moisture is a product of combustion. When it starts getting cooler, sometimes some moisture from blow-by will get trapped in the can.

that color is normal??? my oil sortve looks that color (lighter) and not as thick as the one in the pic. im talking about the oil in the motor

That isn't normal.
