i installed a greddy type-s and a defi boost gauge yesterday and everything seems to be working fine. at WOT my car with the EBC turned off will spike to around 13-14psi and then quickly drop to 10-11psi which i understand is totally normal for the t25. when i turn up the boost on the controller a little bit, it will spike to 16-17ish and drop down to around 12-13psi which i guess is normal as well.

however if i dont WOT, and only give enough gas for the turbo to just start spooling properly, the car goes up to around 13-14psi and bounce around there and actually hold it there and not drop down to the 12psi, but it almost feels like the car is struggling because its bouncing around between 13 and 14psi. is that normal?

also, is it bad that the car spikes to 17psi when i WOT? i heard the t25 with stock injectors and fuel pump cant handle much more than 16psi...

my t25 used to spike like that (18 and drop to 12), but then I used the compressor housing on the turbo for a pressure source for my MBC instead of the BOV. Now I get 13psi rock solid with absolutely no boost spike. Most people say that you should have the boost controller run of the BOV vacuum line but my car runs better with it off of the compressor housing.

it should run better there. It is getting the source pressure as close as it can.

thats what I thought, but a bunch of people on this site bashed me for saying that my car ran better with it like that.

thats how mine is hooked up as well, i did it just like the directions said. maybe its got something to do with the gain setting on my controller, i guess i gotta go back to the drawing board trying to find the correct setting...
