How bad is the crack on this turbo?

So i find this b16g for sell.

But there is a crack on the exhaust housing(see pic on the right side of the exhaust housing)The guy tell me it's about 1 inch long.

I want to know how bad is that crack? is it bad enough to cause an exhaust leak?

That crack will get worse. And worse. And so on.

In my personal experience, and I'm a stubborn SOB that needs a few lessons before I get it, I wouldn't buy a used turbo unless you know 100% of its history and the person selling it. I've spent over $2,000 and lots of headaches getting what ended up being a $600 turbo brand new.

As long as the crack is just a surface crack and isn't all the way through, looks pretty normal for a Mitsu housing.
