Is this a good idea? VPC...

I have a buddy who will sell me his used HKS VPC with the 2nd gen 2 inch throttle body elbow with the sensor in it, the GCC, and 550CC injectors that it has the chip for - all for $450. Is this a good idea, I have a 92 GSX with a MBC and a 3" Turbo Back and I'm about to put on my FMIC with all the hard piping and an HKS SSQ. Thanks in advance for anyone's input.

Just so you know, very few people here uses VPC. It'll be hard for troubleshooting but if you have experience with it and know what you're doing, go for it. Otherwise I'd sell the VPC o some Honda guy and get DSMLink.

I don't have it yet so I can't sell it i could just not buy it, how much does DSM link cost and all the parts I would have to get to run with it like AFC, wideband, new maf...etc

You don't need any of those. DSMLink cost $515 now. An EPROM cost $200 ish. Check and see if yours came with one or not. A wideband is suggested. But if you're cheap, an EGT gauge will work.

go with the vpc. i hacvent used it personally because i couldnt find one when i need a tunning device i went with a maf pro my buddys use them and there cars run great its very easy to tune and since you have a gcc to or will your good to go. just get a wideband so you can get the most out of it and your tune

Why would a guy with a Honda want a VPC?

Either way at that price just save for another month and get DSMlink. I used the VPC for years and it was awesome for what it was back then but now DSMlink owns.

Yes get it, even if you get DSM link you will have to use that ### MAF translator. Do it right, speed density with Japanese parts on a Japanese car, not American parts on Japanese car.
