I like the way the 97 front bumpers look on the TSI talon. I own a 95 awd and wanna do the swap.

No all 2g talon headlights are the same.Only 2g eclipses have different headlights, and will have a gap if the headlights are not changed as well..

Your headlights have to be 97-99. The 95-96 are rounded in the corner and if you did the bumper swap without the headlights you will have a huge gap on the inside of both of your headlights.

Your best bet is to keep checking junkyards and classifieds. You could possibly ask them to call you if they get any 97-98 Talons in at a junkyard so you don't miss them.

The DSM in the original post has...

'97-'98 Talon front bumper
'95-'96 Talon rear bumper, spoiler, and side skirts
The headlights are either '95-'96 Eclipse headlights or '95-'98 Talon headlights, the housing inside has been painted black though.​

You can tell its a '95-'96 DSM originally because of the antenna and there isn't a HUGE gap between the headlights and bumper if you run '97-'99 Eclipse lights. There is a gap but it isn't HUGE and its actually functional in dropping coolant temps if you've got a big FMIC covering the radiator.

Orrr it could be a 98 Talon with 96 sideskirts, the door trim removed and holes filled in, with an antenna & spoiler swap

Actually, I think it's a black 96 Eclipse that was in a rollover accident and painted white except for the roof. I believe the body shop only had Talon parts available to do the repairs.

On the antenna, the difference is it doesn't have a power antenna. But I always thought that was based on what stereo the car came with, not a difference between 2gas and 2gbs.

I guess it is possible that every 2ga I've ever seen came with the crap stereo from the factory but thats typically what I look for to see if a 2ga has done the 2gb swap or not... You might be correct though Erik, I haven't done much research on the subject.

I did the other Eric (turbosax) antenna mod to my power antenna. Mine actually went up and down but 9 times out of 10 those antenna's got stuck UP and they're so tall it looks like a big ass whip antenna on a four wheeler.
