maybe it's not the coil pack and something else? Maybe it's the fact that he wants to ghetto rig his car and run a 20g with the stock fuel system? Stop asking dumb questions.

HE BOUGHT HIS CAR WITH THE 20G ,

i know it doesent mean to use the 20g...

and would there be any thing causing the coil packs to blow

Use proper grammar which means proper usage of the shift key and correct spelling.

If he is going through multiple coils then obviously it's not the coils that have issues, there is something else causing the damage.

that was my main question. to figure out why there blowing

How are you deeming that the coil packs are dead? Do they work from the start and how long does it take for it to go out?

Well there was no spark....
So we got some coil packs and then a week later same thing.. and then last night AGAIN. is there any other ways to test coil packs

think what gives the coil pack its signal? what makes the coil pack work? or know when to fire? its off of cylinder position sensor for starters. if he keeps loosing his coil maybe its the cam angle sensor goin tits up on him. theres another part thats directly tied into the mix. the igniter. also known as the transister. the plug-in on this little part is the excact same shape as a 2G mass air flow sensor plug-in. the igniter amps up the juice to the coil. maybe thats a problem?

my 2g had this problem once it turned out to be a faulty alternator (on idle it would crank out 16- 18 volts got it rebuilt and it was fine) it popped my capacitor and was frying my coils too.. maybe its having the same problem. also had a friend with his 2g pop coils too but it was just moisture got into the igniter was the problem sent his car into limp mode and was still driveable but ate the coils in the process of driving around like that. just things to look at
