Hi guys actually I keep in slipping the clutch for more than 3 times for now
I used two types which are 2600 and 2900 with street disk I don't like the 6 of 4 pack because of chatter I never used the 4 or 6 pack because I feel it might not the right time to use drag clutch, I use my car for street race and drag race, it's a daily drive car
I reached 547 wheel hp and I was fine but then I reduced the boost and the clutch holded up till 480 wheel hp with nitrous once I rised the shot the clutch slipped my gool to reach something like 700 wheel hp with 33 psi+the shot that will make me make this HP

I'm not looking for chatter or any expansive clutchm what is the best clutch for my case?
Does SBR clutch 3500 or 3900 holds more than ACT 2900 clutch?
SBR has clutch replacement and they think no need for breakin and can hold more than ACT is that true?

I know the TQ always burn the clutch I don't think the TQ will be more than 600 with 700 wheel hp

Correct me if I'm wrong, thanks for the help!

After a certain point, creature comfort will have to give way to reliability. Find out what Shep and Brent Rau use. I bet their clutches are finnicky at best. And I'm quite sure they are both over 500 hp.

Good Luck

They are over 1000 wheel hp I guess:)
They are very far away from me I only made couple of 10 sec runs my best is 10.2 so I'm looking for something street and cheap, not looking for twin plate, I can't pay that much money for the clutch I have other things to mod.

Please find out guys what is the best clutch for my setup?
Thanks

Your car is near 9's I think there is a point where you have to move past the STREET stuff and get something beefy. You say you have other things to mod? whats the point of making more power when you cant hold what you have now? I would agree with old mitsu tech find out what shep is running and see about gettting one shipped.

i know you dont want to hear it but you are best off with a twin disc. high power single disc clutches dont shift nearly as well as a twin disc will. I am sure you already have but look into a quarter master.

exactly what i was thinking---im in the same boat as this guy---my car can make 700awhp----and the only single disc clutches that will hold the power are 4/6 puck, etc-----im going for either an exedy twin plate(relatively cheap)or a RPS carbon/carbon($$$2600) or even maybe a tilton triple disc----the latter youll never have probs with-------best clutch out there---all the high hp supras run these clutches--------

Have you heared of Devo Tuning twin disk with flywheel it's 1100 USD I'm using 6 bolts with 2g tranny and I'm FWD actually I think I'm going for their clutch, 3200 seem to be very good but I'm not looking for chatter and at the same time I'm looking for cheap clutch because I don't have enought money to spend on the clutch.

What is the difference between the 4 puck and 6 puck, which one holds more and which one has more chatter, actually I think the 4 puck can hold more and more chatter but never heared that by anyone, I think less area contact will give more power to hold and I don't know why would that hold more

Correct me if I'm wrong, thanks!

does tilton make the clutch for the application (i.e. 2g dsm awd) or do you have to call and have one custom made?

I'm going with ACT 3200 with new ACT flywheel and 6 puck disk because DEVO Tune didn't reply to my e-mails, then I let my friend called them and they said their clutch should do some modification to the flywheel I have, actually I'll try the ACT 3200 with 6 puck and If John Shippered used that for a while I don't think I'll have the power to slip that

When you buy the clutch the flywheel comes with it. The 3200 may not slip but a twin disc will allow you to shift much faster. Try giving Adam a call, he always answers my phone calls.

Have you looked into the SBR 4000 clutch? They run it on their 600+ hp car with no problems. Good deal and looks like a quality part. SBR does their homework and give them a call. They will set you up.

I asked Craig at SBR and he said the 3200 can hold more than SBR 4000 and I asked him about their disk and he said he preffair ACT street disk or 6 puck, I think ACT 3200 is the last setup before getting any twin plate type.

It's special order it'll take time till ACT send it to SBR and then SBR will send it to me
I'll let you know how does the ACT 3200 holds.

hello, you guys ever heard of powetrain technology? they have a twin disc setup and have the option to run metal disc's or organic discs. the metal setup i currenly have is supposed to hold 800hp or so but its kinda annoying as a street clutch. if you go with a 1g slave cylinder and the organic disc that might be the perfect thing for you... not quite the on/off switch as the setup i have but good holding capacity and its is very lightweight.... somewhere around 15 pounds or so completely assembled with the included flywheel.... very nice!
