Is there a shelf life for methanol?

Can someone tell me if there is a shelf life for methanol? Does it lose its effectiveness to do its job against detonation?

Other than being a bit hygroscopic (and, therefore, pulling water out of the air if not capped completely), there's nothing that methanol could spontaneously turn into.

Keep the lid on and you should be fine. Keep it out of the sun. I found the container I used to keep it would expand in the sun. It wasn't pure methanol, so I don't know if it was the meth, or the water expanding, but the pressure might give way to problems.
