Is there a place on non-turbo 6 bolt blocks for a knock sensor?

I'm thinking about pulling a 6 bolt block from a non-turbo 1G DSM (blocks are only $120 with crank and pistons from my junkyard) and start building a stronger engine. My machine shop said that they convert non turbo 4G63 blocks to turbo blocks all the time (they claim that all they need to do is install the new oil squirters). The only problem is, I don't know if the non-turbo blocks have a place to stick the knock sensor. Can anyone tell me what should be done? Is there a place on the non-turbo block to place the knock sensor, or will a hole have to be tapped in the block for it?

yes there is, i have a non-turbo block with turbo internals in my car right now. knock sensor went into the same place as it normally would on a tubro block.

I have turbo'd a non trubo talon and there is a place in the exact same spot for the knock sensor, it is already threaded and everything. His car ran well for a year at 9 psi on the non turbo internals with out any problems, but a snapped timing belt cause some problems to force us to change out the engine.

i'm doing the same thing - i have an NT block because i don't want oil squirters to break off. if you look on the back of the block theres a bung for the sensor - it just might have a plug screwed into it that you'll have to remove. it is there though.
