Is The Lower Pulley On The Engine Supposed To Move Back And Forth?

Need some help here guys!

today my ac belt broke knocking all 3 of my belts off! when i bought new belts and begin to install them. i noticed the lower pulley on my engine moves in and out fairly easy. is it possible that when the ac belt broke and became stuck behind the pulley it broke the bottom pulley on my engine? or is it that pulley supposed to move in and out. it looks like the ac belt and the alt belt go around it. it appears to be plastic. (it is the lower pulley on my engine.) when i start the car with the ac belt unhooked it makes noise because the pullety is wobbling around.

does anyone know if the pulley could be broke and that would let it move in and out or do i need to hook all 3 belts up to stop it from wobbling.

Lower pulley? Are you talking about the crank pulley? It's possible you self destructed the crank pulley (not too uncommon unfortunately, not too hard to replace but it'll cost $80-100). Find out which pulley it is and report back.

on the side of the engine there are two large pulleys. i am referring to the lower one of the two.. does that help?

Get a new one quick, before that one blows up. It has been known to happen.

It's called the crank pulley, get one from mitsu.

Mine separated into two pieces, luckily I noticed the all to familiar "rattling" noise and swapped the pulley immediately
