Well its time to upgrade my turbo, and i've been defiantly thinking of going with the FP3052 since i have enough money to go this route (go big or go home right?)

anyways, i was wondering if their are any other parts i would need to purchase. I was told i will need their wastegate and downpipe, and im guessing their oil feed line... which is more money....

Also, any other parts recommended for purchasing when i get this such as an exhaust manifold. I wanna do it all right the first time....

I can't really give you an opinion, as I have no information about your car.

Perhaps you might fill out your vehicle profile, it would be a big help in the future.

My bad my bad.... thought i pasted it all in...

1995 Eclipse GS-T:
T25 Turbo, Thermal Technologies 3'' Cat-back, HIFlow Cat, 2.5'' Downpipe, GReddy TT, GReddy 24V FMIC, Injen Intake, Extreme XBC, SS Cluthline, GReddy EGT, 1st Gen BOV, Boost Psi and Oil Pressure Gauges

yes ofcourse, i have a walbro 255 HP sitting here, got it last weak, and 750's and DSMLink on the way....

You'll also need their O2 housing, being that they use V-band style vs yours which is for the mitsu exhaust housing. <maybe that is what you meant when you said downpipe> FP quoted me just shy of 2k for everything for the turbo (turbo, lines, gaskets, wg, o2). As far as manifolds go, any of the mitsu style ones will work or you can go with tubular for even quicker spool. One thing I'd like to say, I see you are FWD, just want to make sure you realize this is BB turbo and even AWD people are talking about spinning 1st, 2nd and sometimes even 3rd! Not trying to deter you away from the turbo its awesome as you can tell from any thread about it, just wanting to make sure you understand. I'd hate to see someone spend that kind of money and be disappointed because of traction issues. Best of luck with such an awesome turbo. :thumb:

Dont let me take any thing away from fp's product, as the fp3052 is an amazing peice with praise coming from all it's owners and so on......

But if your like me the price of the turbo+external gate+custom o2 housing is out of my budget. i started taking a look around at similar turbo's and found the gt30r, it has the same center chra and almost identical turbine and compressor wheels. I was able to find this turbo with internal wastegate, dsm housing for direct bolt on, and oil return lines for about 1300. Dont get me wrong if i had the money I would go with the fp route, but for only a couple hundred bucks more than a 50 trim it seems like the next best thing. The gt30r is also rated at about 500hp.

Hm.. the BB is tempting but i agree that being FWD i would spin too much so i think your suggestion is the route im going to take.

I was searching a little bit today and found it for sale at http://www.optionimports.com. I've never heard of them before so im not too sure about reliability and quality. Where did you purchase yours?
Also thanks for your reply to the post :thumb:
