Hello,

Have a 95 Talon Turbo and I just had to pull the trans out and replace the TOB. Just recently install a clutch a few months ago by a shop and now doing the TOB on my own. I install the TOB now but seems I can NOT align the trans up with the trans guild pin hole. There is a gap like my flywheel is too big... but I know its not. I am currently using a jack to line the trans up.

And I was wondering do I need to take out the driver side axle to get the trans in flush? I only took the right side off? I do not see nothing in between the gap but the flywheel. I can have pictures later tonight due to my wife have the digital cam. But I been at this for two weeks now and the summer is slipping away.... Talk to a couple of people about it... someone told me to get two long bolts with threads all the way down and draw the trans in like that...

You probally have the half shaft unbolted from the back of the block on the driver side correct?
The tranny shouldn't be hitting the driverside axle if that is off, but you will probally have to unbolt the hub uptop and angle it out to get that axle back in.

The motor should be on a bit of an angle down wards when bolting up the tranny to make it waay easier.
You should be able to get the tranny on a guide pin without drawing it in with a tranny bolt and risking cracking the bellhousing.

Good luck

I just installed my tranny the other day. It took me all day trying to get it back on with the the dr axle still in. I was limited to the jacks I had to get the intermediate shaft to line up with the trans so I took off the dr side and the tranny went right on.
