i dont think its a light though. its just plastic that matches its sides.use a screw driver or something finely sharp and wide edged, stick it in the side of a letter and tap it with a hammer, keep doing this gently around the sides of the letter. :dsm: :talon: :laser:

xcellr8 is right, its not a light, however its made of the same lens material as the lights. this plastic is rather soft and i would strongly advise against using anything to wedge under the letters like a scew driver though. if you heat them up like RedGSX21 suggested they will peel off with your fingers, this will distort the letters and if you change your mind later you wont be able to reuse them though. you could also use fishing line to remove them, use a sawing motion (like flossing) under the letters to cut through the adhessive. once you have them off an adhesive / tar remover will remove all the glue, and if you want to get really fancy use a clear plastic cleaner and polish, (i know its not clear but take my word for it ok ;) ) i was able to pull my letters off with my fingers once i warmed them up, i then went a step further and dissasembled the whole center section and fabbed it into a third brake light / parking lights
there is a pic of the back of my car at night with the parking lights on in my profile if anyone wants details on how to do it pm me

hey, if you have a second gen and live in az or would be willing to ship then I'll trade you my center tail section that has the letters removed. I want my lettering back! -matt

Use your finger to peel off the stickers.

Get yourself a $2 bottle of "Goo Gone" or "Goof Off" and get the sticky crap off. Simple rag and the liquid itself will remove it.

If you are strapped and have a gas can lying around, soak a rag in it and twist off the excess. Wipe the glue off with that. :thumb:

No tools no scratches.

i took the X and the DOHC 16 TURBO stickers off my car and there was clue left...alls i did was put to layers of paper towel at the end of a screw driver and gently scraped away the glue...it works pretty damn good.

I used my fingers to get the stickers off, then i used one of those small steamers ( like the ones on TV) and it took all the glue right off. Just steamed it for a few seconds and scrubed it with a towel.
