I took off my stock intake manifold and I am installing a JM Fab SMIM. My buddy told me to take 4 nuts off my throttle body to remove it from the manifold. I don't see 4 nuts on this thing anywhere. How do I remove this thing without screwing something up?

Thanks

well it should be 2 nuts and 2 bolts. thats what holds the throttle body elbow to the throttle body and the intake manifold. just look at the throttle body elbow. and your going to see what i mean. after you take them off the whole things should come apart in 3 pieces: elbow, throttle body, and intake manifold

One thing that I seem to be puzzled by is that how were you able to take off the intake manifold but you weren't able to figure out how to take the throttle body LOL

So he meant just take off the 2 bolt and the 2 studs? Or are the studs threaded into the intake mani itself. He kept telling me "just slide it off" but I didn't know if that was correct

well there is 2 nuts and 2 bolts, when you take off the 2 nuts the studs shouldn't come out cus they are threaded all the way into the intake manifold just like the 2 bolts are. but you can still take them off if you wish to but aren't necessary cus after you take the 2 bolts and 2 nuts out the throttle body just slides off unless its stuck LOL. like i said the 2 bolts slide off, and the other 2 only the nut comes off leaving the stub behind cus that holds the gaskets and the throttle body in places instead of falling off when you take them all off
