ok guys I am in the process of purchaseing an evo 3 big 16g and I have been looking at prices and I have come to the conclusion that I can buy the actual turbo from one place and buy the 2g install from another and save myself some money. Would it work the same if I bought the turbo from one store and the 2g install from another store? :talon:

I have waiting to install: walbro 190, lucas 550's, safc2, and im waitng for my logger. I plan on installing them all at once.

Thanks for the advice in advance

Why not? Some companies have an install kit that will give you an oil line to feed it from the head, others from the filter housing. It's all up to you but any kit will pretty much "work" with any 16g.

I didn't even buy a "kit." I just pieced all the parts together from various sources-- gaskets/bolts/washers from the stealership, oil line from RRE, etc. It's cheaper that way usually.

thanks for the input guys. I just didnt want to order the 2 different items and end up with the kit sitting around collecting dust. I just got my logger today so the turbo/kit and fmic are on the way. Thanks again. :thumb:
