is it a 6bolt or 7bolt?

I have a 92 eagle talon tsi awd and i dont know if it has a six bolt or a seven bolt in it, how do i tell?

And how did you figure that out? He could have been the last half of '92 which has the 7 bolt.

92 doesnt necessarly mean its a 6 bolt. I worked on a 92 and it had a 7 bolt. 7 bolt motors were put in the cars in late 92. For the original poster, If you oil filter housing has a 'K" on it then its a 7 bolt. The head bolts are also different for 6 and 7 bolt. The most obvious thing is the"K" on the oil filter housing. You have to look from the drivers side fender.

Ok I have a question now I have a '91 gsx and my block is broken so I need to put in a new block only my head has just been gone through and rebuilt. My friend gave me his old block which is a seven bolt block I also have a new transmission I need to put in the car which is the first gen seven bolt automatic. will this work? what would i have to do?
