is a holset turbo a bolt on?

hey all. after reading lots of holset threads i still havent found an answere to my questions. I have a jdm sport t3/t4 in my car and i want to switch to a holset. im tryin to figure out A which holset to buy and B will is it a bolt on turbo since i already have an aftermarket manifold with the t4 flange etc and C i noticed some people have a vac line running from the front of the turbo to the boost controller and some have it set up like mine to the ext waste gate. what is that fitting for? its on the intake side of the turbo.

You can either buy the BEP .55A/R bolt on housing, the BEP T3 .70A/R housing, or the stock Holset housing.

The fitting is just a boost source for either your wastegate or if you have a boost controller.

The turbo is up to what your goals are
