interference motor

Yes, the 2.4 Chrysler is a non-interference

For the record, 420A's are 2.0L not 2.4L

Correct, but the thread starter asked if the 420A (which is a 2.0L) was a interference engine. You replied with, " the chrysler 2.4L is not a interference engine". Chryler did build more than 1 engine you know. Your post was irrelivant to the topic as the 420a IS an interference engine and it is a 2.0L NOT a 2.4L.

Wasn't it lotus that co-designed the head for the 420a? Did not realize the 2.4 was non interference good info. So I guess the 2.4 guys can build for boost and not worry about breaking timing belts?

Not sure on the 420a i thought it was Mitsubishi, the only head i know that was designed by Lotus for Chrysler it was the old school 90's 2.2 DOHC Dodge's(Spirit R/t and Daytona R/T) The only weak point the 2.4's have is the powdered metal rods(except SRT's) otherwise they love boost and don't care if you break a timing belt.

420A is an interferrence motor. Which means if you break a timing belt you too get to experience the wounderful noise of valves tinking off the pistons. You also get to see the lovely sight of money flying out of your wallet.

Thanks. I seen the pistons are fly cut and the valve site very low. I have just wondering. I thought it was.
