hi guys!!! im lookin into buying a 93 talon tsi awd. what i was wonderin is . the guy said that the motor turns but timing belt does not . what could be wrong with this car.

o and btw is the motor an interference motor or non interference motor?

Willing to bet there is a bit of smashed up stuff inside the engine (valves and bottom of head, both which will need to be replaced) and also possibly dented the tops of the pistons.
 
samething happend to me and i didnt bend a thing....sometimes there is a god.ask them if the belt went bad while they were driving it?mine went when i shut the motor off.
