I bought this guy brand new from a (the most) reputable business in Canada a couple years back and just noticed something when I flipped it over recently. It's an OEM Evolution 3 exhaust manifold, has the casting hump on the #1 runner and everything. I've got no reason to think it's not genuine.
What I found was a casting flaw that they seemed to not really care about. If you had a sealing ring in there, it would actually create an inefficiency in the transition, hurting flow an itty bitty bit.
Now, this isn't really an issue since I don't have the ring in my 6cm2 housing and the previous owner already blended the transition.. I still just found it funny that an OEM piece would be this off. It left me scratching my head and thinking "really?".
Again, no biggie, just found it interesting and thought I'd share.
