wi systems can be made for under $100...how much are your co2 sprayers, twitch? any discount for fellow kc guys? ;-)

when you say WI systems are you meaning water injection like AQUAMIST? or are you talking about a water intercooler sprayer? I will cut you a deal sure e-mail me and will talk about it!

Chris

when I said wi systems, I meant water injection...some of the kc guys are getting ready to put together wi kits together for under $100 (2-3 dsms and a couple of conquest tsi's as well). squishy, if you know him, put his on with a used pump for about $60, i think

i have Wi on my car
lets put it this way
16 psi on stock pump, no rewire, modded mas
NO KNOCK
same pump, same situation, race gas and 23 psi, NO KNOCK

im gonna do some tuning tonight witht he new pump and such

the only thing you have to keep an eye on is the tank, what the level of water is at. trust me, you can tell real quick when it gets low

easy to install, im running a .8 jet

100 psi pump {have a 60 psi sitting in the garage right now as a back up

so far, works everytime
comes on at 8.5 psi

I was considering putting a I/C sprayer onto my stock intercooler. I was going to either spray water, or use C02. My question is in regards to how effective this is. Will it actually help that much? I was going to build it myself so price is not an issue. If you have any info please post.

Jon

hey man i build one and it makes a difference and also makes a couple more pounds of boost. i just looked at the NX express kit and went from there.

nitrous for right now but i am going to switch to CO2. although i have read that the EVOs use a water sprayer system.

I'm trying to decide how to build this system. If I use water it won't be as "quick at lowering the temp" but it will be easier and allow the use of the stock window washer pump. If I use C02 it will need to be refilled more often and will require more parts. But it should be quicker and work better.

i would prolly go water over c02 because of I wouldnt want to pay for a refill all the time. Water is cheaper than C02. And if you do water injection it supposedly steam cleans everything and reduces knock.

"nitrous for right now but i am going to switch to CO2. although i have read that the EVOs use a water sprayer system."

The EVO VIII Will have a Front Mount Water sprayed intercooler. There is a nice little switch on the console to turn it on Auto, Manual, or off. It should be some pretty cool shiat:thumb:

OK I made a cheap IC sprayer today, dont know if it will work cause I have not had a chance to use it. What I did was use my squirter hose for the windshield, extended it, and split it into 2 parts, and had it point to the IC. It squirts perfetcly on the IC, and I think it will work just as well as any other IC sprayer would (that's water). What I wanna know is has anyone else done this? And is there any way to make the bloody wipers not wipe while I'm squirting em heh.

Thx,

build mine with a old LS1 NOS kit just bent all the tubing myself and hooked it up that way, and it seems to work pretty good, as far as the water sprayer and the wipers try using a remote switch for it.

just splice in your own power and ground to the pump and put it on a switch like NOSNUSE (sweet name dude.) said. That way you can avoid wipin your windows while whiping the floor with that civic you just smoked...

Has anyone posted any DEFINATE outcomes of this kit? Dis advantage or Advantage? I would think that it could make a huge difference in theory. I also can see a down side to using it right before making a run though co2 buildup in the engine compartment would seriously hamper the horse power. Let me know if there are any dyno results because I would damn sure like on of these if they show increases.

The c02 bottle cost about 3-4 bucs to fill up depending where you live. Im trying to get ahold of a cheap n20 bottle or a coca-cola c02 tank that they use for soda machines =) to me its worth the time and the money for the kit, it may not be to some. and thats cool I have no peoblem with that at all. Im hoping to get some dyno #'s soon!!!

TWITCH

the coke tank weights upwards of 80lbs. stay away.

well dyno numbers would prove or disprove this idea. There is this thing called an intake :) that sucks lots of air and at a stand still you would be suprised at how much air it does suck. Put a lit ciggarette buy your sidemount then reply your findings. I know the c02 will reach the intake. I'm not being negative about the product "I don't even have one" but I can see where it would cause a negative effect. That being said I'm personally curious as to it testing going down the track where there is more than sufficient air flow and then testing at a stand still on the line; and testing before the tire heat up process. I know there is a solution to the problem I was simply curious as to anyone developing a technique to over come this Little delimna(sp)(runonsentence):)(pun). There fore I know someone must have statistical facts to back this up as well and I'm curious to see the results. Twitch a dyno of your products outcome is beneficial to it's success M8. It would determine my sale :). If I do all the research and development....................
