Intake Upgrade

well i looked around on the forums and couldn't really find anything on my topic. I am planning on buying a custom intake manifold from mike and I was wondering if a 55mm tb or a 60mm tb would be best. from what i understand, a 55mm tb still hass more low end power but the 60mm tb fits up perfectly to the bore of mike's manifold. what do you reccommend?

actually the t-body hole is about 64mm across so it doesnt fit up perfectly but it does fit without hitting a lip that can cause any turbulance going into the plenum

that's a good point is it even possible to fit yoru manifold for a tb like the q45?(80mm)

Good to knwo in case this obx mani doesn't cut it I have another route.

I do know that modernperformance.com makes a bolt on 60mm. vry nice,and you can always bore the hole in the intake out if you had to ,just thought you mite check it out,,good luck,,,,viper99

hey as of today this thread is exactly one year old............ and i think the OP was referring to the MPX thorttle body to begin with sir (the 60mm that is).
