2005 Hyundai Tucson GLS - $80/month for full coverage for me and my wife. Both of us are 25 with clean driving records. I get a college grad discount, she gets a good student discount, we both get good driver discounts. Company is Geico, no complaints there.

SR-22 ins. liability in Sc $95 bucks a month 900 talon. and $110 for my 98 expedition

for a 96 gst spyder I pay 140 a month.. well actually it went up a tad cuz I dun have anti lock brakes... I paid an additional 235 for the year.. but yea 140 a month for TEN months

i payed $85 for my 91 n/t under my parents name and now have a 91 tsi awd and for full coverage i pay $449 every 6 months with a 1000 deductible through all-state.

Well, its about time my GSX will have a nice 6 bolt motor in it, so my mom checked up on my insurance to see what it would be when it is fixed and it is going to be 3K a year!! There is no way I'm going to shell out 250 bucks a month. About a year ago, I was paying 2300/yr. for the same coverage. This is really ridiculous, I have another year's experience on my record without any tickets/accidents and the insurance is going to be risen by 700 bucks. My brother also just got his license and he is 23 and on the same plan as my family. When my mom asked for a quote, she said that my brother would be driving my mom's 92 accord and not the dsm. Does this sound pretty unreasonable to anybody?

17 years old, full coverage on a 2001 buick century and I'm paying around 195 a month.

I have quotes at $200 a month for basically any year dsm at 17 still, with one citation (failure to obey a traffic light or sign - incomplete stop basically)

So yeah, I think you're getting screwed.

no, youre not getting screwed.

you live in san fran.

everything there is more expensive. out in the valley it would be half that. out in bum#### idaho it would be even less.

its cause youre a young male driver. get used to it, the only way it goes down is if you never get a ticket(or make sure it doesnt see your record) or get married.

Yikes!! Like everyone said, it must be the location. Full coverage on my 99 Prelude is only 150 a month, and I have 2 tickets!! And the stupid insurance company qualified it as a sports car!!!

Shoot I think thats a little hight. 1 car (full coverage) and 1 New motorcylce (full coverage) and I pay $106 a month.

But look around. It might be cheaper to get it on your own.

ouch... that sound way high..

My insurance was never that high.... even after getting a Careless Driving Ticket 4 month after getting my license @ 16yrs old. I almost totaled my dads 93 TSI AWD.

Of course 7 years later I pay way less.....
$105 / month;
Full coverage on my 94 Jetta
Liability on my Eclipse
and renters insurance

ya your getting fed, I pay 60 dollars a month for full coverage during the school year and 150 a month during the summer with a suspended liscence(that doesn't have to do with driving in anyway so I am getting ####ed there)

Yeah, the thing that's really bothering me is the rates went up even though I had no accidents/tickets. In january, I will finally get the good driver discount of 20% which will return the premium down where it should have been. I still think that because my brother just got his license, my rates skyrocketed. BTW, I'm 20, 21 in december, and I shopped around for insurance which quoted me 5k a year for my own plan w/$1000 deductables. :notgood:

here's a plan, think of movin away? Man I'm 23 and pay 2600 a year for full coverage on my 99 tacoma. You're getting hosed by location.

wow thats soo much money... I'm 18 with an "unsafe lane change" ticket and an accident and I'm still only paying $80/month for full coverage on my tsi awd.

5k with 1k deductable #### man tell the insurances to suck the big one and move the hell out of sf I bet if you moved out of the city your insurance quotes would drop by half.

WTF WTF WTF Who are you guys with that you can pay around $100 a month for full coverage??? I'm 20 with 1 ticket, and I pay $204 a month... NOT full coverage...

All depends on the city you live in, age, marital status and driving record.

1. You are under 25. Once you turn 25 the insurance goes down a lot.
2. Most likely single = higher insurance because you are more likely to take risks
3. Tickets. All thou you only have one, it could be worth some points if it was a reckless driving ticket.

I pay $78 for full coverage on a 99 gsx. But then again I am over 25 and married. :shhh:

I remember looking at a camaro back when I was 23 and it would have cost me over $200/m in insurance.

Some of these guys may be on their parents insurance plan, since there are few posters under 18. This would bring the cost down as well.

There are also college student discounts, etc.

Pff thats nothing. if i put my car on my name when i bought i would have to pay 330 a month. So you not getting screwed.

You are getting screwed for being young and living in a big city where the likelyhood of trashing the car and/or it getting stolen is higher.

I am 25, clean record(4 years clean), dont exactly live in a major city, single, and I pay about 90 a mo for full coverage on my 95 GSX and basic on my 97 Chevy 1500. My insurance dropped by almost half when I turned 25...
