I'm finally going to install my water temp gauge. It's an auto-meter gauge and I bought it new from autozone. The instructions do not really cover how to install it. It came with a brass water fitting and the harness and everything it was supposed to I think. Either I cannot understand the instructions or they are incomplete, but either way I cannot install the gauge yet. I did search, but found nothing that helped me. Can someone please show me a diagram and an explanation on how to get this gauge working?

Also, I plan on mounting it where the lighter is on the center console. Is this a good place for it? If not I can get a pillar pod system and then get an EGT gauge and something else to occupy the last vacant hole.

You're going to need to get the little temp sensor installed into coolant. I took the water neck off the head (where the radiator cap is). Then I drilled and tapped for this sensor. You install the sensor in the side of that (or anywhere else yo ucan get it safely into coolant) and the connect the wire to the gauge.

That's about it, man. Good luck.
