ok so my sunroof has been leaking for some time now its not where the glass seals its where the sunroof frame is attached to the car. my question is what should i use to seal the sunroof frame to the roof?

If it's leaking where the frame mounts to the roof, then the drain lines are probably plugged. There is a catch tray around the perimeter of the glass, because the glass does not fully seal against the roof. If the drain lines get plugged, you'll get some leaks. Pull the headliner out, and you'll see the lines running off each corner of the sunroof assembly. Remove the lines and blow them out with some compressed air, and you'll probably be OK. You may need to pull the entire assembly, however, if there is a lot of debris in the catch tray clogging it from the top.

its an aftermarket sunroof and a cheap one at that there is no drain and i can visibly see where its leaking i just want to make sure i seal it with the right stuff as id hate to see it fly off at highway speed

Oops, I assumed it was factory b/c you didn't state otherwise. You may still have to pull the entire thing out, scrape off any old silicone/gasket material, and redo it to get a clean seal. Most of the aftermarket units I've seen...the popup kind, not motorized...have an inner and outer ring (inside/outside the car), so you may need to reseal both of those.

I have started on similar thread regarding this issue.. I ordered the DSM OEM seal in order to try to stop the random wet interior. I've already tried to clean the little holes and have "lock tight" the screws as specified by the service manual. <- Did not work so far. This time I will redo as much as I can when I remove the glass to redo the seal.

ive pulled the inner ring and had a friend spray it with water and its leaking in the corners so i have to pull it and clean it and redo it I would just like to make sure i use the right silicone or whatever i need as my car likes to see 100mph plus not on the street of course

I'm not sure you'll find a silicone rated for high speeds LOL. Might as well go with a high-temp RTV, so that it can withstand the temperature fluctuations your roof will see. I'd apply it liberally, then either wipe off immediately or wait till it's fully cured to trim/peel it off. If you can find a red RTV even better (since your car is red).

I would get ahold of a glass company and see if they will sell you some strip caulking for bolt in window applications. You might be able to get some at your local parts store 2. I dont think RTV or silicones will hold up.
