Got my rebuilt head in today. Gunna put it in tomorrow. Was curious if yall squirt a little oil on it before installling the valve cover? Head looks awesome, extremely pleased in the quality of the rebuild.

Also there is a general little guide with some tips included with the head. It says to set Mitsubishi type jet valves to .010 or they will quickly burn and cause excessive oil consumption? Im assuming that doesnt pertain to my 1993 eclipse 2.0 n/t? Because it also says that the valve lash isnt properly adjusted but i know there is no valve lash adjustment on these motor. Anyone know?

Yes, when I install a new head, I fill my engine up with oil by dumping it all around the head, putting the valve cover on, and then starting it.

No you do not have any jet valves in a 4g63 head.

once the head is installed and torqued, and the old oil is drained out, just before you install the valve cover, spill a quart or two over the cam followers and springs.

Right before you go to fire up the engine, disable the fuel/spark, and spin the engine over some with the starter to make sure the cam journals are oiled.
