Hi all,

I just got my motor back from being re-built and I'm just installing it right now and I have a few questions.

1. What is this and where does it go?

<table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/KuvpWr6iPiUr4jdtn-gxNA?authkey=xesBw93J2F4&feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/_unmMjGO_WlM/SaBQJjgNMYI/AAAAAAAAHhM/jx0O4SOBzzk/s400/0221091056b.jpg" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/tomas.beblar/CarPictures?authkey=xesBw93J2F4&feat=embedwebsite">Car Pictures</a></td></tr></table>

2. When do I pull this pin?

<table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/9QO9vNCYMPz0GlbSHdmldw?authkey=xesBw93J2F4&feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_unmMjGO_WlM/SaBQJeAFwTI/AAAAAAAAHhE/o4yh-lHpo2k/s400/0221091056a.jpg" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/tomas.beblar/CarPictures?authkey=xesBw93J2F4&feat=embedwebsite">Car Pictures</a></td></tr></table>

Thanks all,

Tom

Pic 1 - That o-ring looks like the one that goes on the crossover tube in the water pump end, not sure about the other one...

Pic 2 - Looks like all the timing belt stuff is on, make sure it all lines up on the marks, set the tension on the pulley, tighten it down and pull the pin. Here's a link for the exact steps (the technical way) on how to do it. Timing Belt VFAQ

pull the pin once your belt is lined up, in all timing marks. pull then rotate at least 6 times to make sure all the marks line up. also make sure there it turns over so the valves arent hitting.
