Installing a MBC Without a j pipe nipple??

I just bought a used 20g turbo and was wondering how i would go about hooking up the MBC now. Since i won't be using the JPIPE anymore, and i don't know where else would be the best place to put it.. Any help would be appreciated..

Why wouldnt you use a j pipe? What brand is your 20g?
You could always tap into the compressor cover and to to a hardware store and find a fitting and make your own nipple..hope this helps good luck.

You could also tap into the intercooler piping closest to the turbo. Just need to drill a fitting into it.

I thought the 20g covers came with nipple/tap for the pressure source.

What cover do you have?

Closest point you can reasonably tap for a pressure source to the wastegate. Compressor cover, outlet pipe, part of the ic pipe. Lots of options.

Well guys it is a knock off that i got for really cheap..
I'm thinking is it cool if i tap into my IC piping that runs along my
radiator??

Yes thats fine, you want to tap in to the closest point to your turbo. Lower Intercooler piping is sufficient. The ebay turbo on the other hand, may not be.

Well i have all the supporting mods for a bigger turbo..
I just can't find one around here at all for a decent price..
So my buddy sold me his knock off 20g for 75$..
For 75$ i will rock this thing till it blows then slap my 14B
back on if it comes down to that.. But the turbo looks like its in great
condition.. We will see when it's on the car

Chances are there is a round, flat spot somewhere on the compressor housing that just isn't machined yet but is intended for a nipple.

What i did is found a brass 1/8" npt nipple

3/16" x 1/8 npt hose barb nipple fitting brass | eBay

Then I drilled a hole in my aluminum J-piping just a tad smaller than the fitting, so it cut its own threads when i used a wrench on it, screwed it in to cut the threads, screwed on a thin brass nut from the inside then used a little JB weld to make sure it was all sealed and snug, and wouldn't go anywhere.
I'd assume the LICP would be the same deal.

I just got some aluminum piping and had it welded no leaks ever.

i must live in the podunkest part of butt-fu^$ egypt there ever was, theres no one within literally 50 miles of me who was comfortable welding my j pipe with an aluminum nipple, even the "welding, machining, and fabrication" shop up the road. My fingers are crossed, hopefully my nipple holds...or it needs to be clamped tighter ;-)

My turbo pretty much looks just like that .. but not as big of an inlet
Does anyone have any inputs on these tap fittings into
the couplers? I am debating on doing this..

So i was just checking out my turbo and noticed a random bolt on the flat
side of the cold side of the turbo.. I removed it and it goes all the way through..
I attached a picture to show you where the bolt was until i removed it.. Is this where your suppose to tap your MBC for this turbo?I have no idea .. That's why im on TUNERS
