ok i did some resurce here and it says install it into The 'P' outlet on the throttle body on the intake manifold (easiest)
The Fuel Pressure solenoid (best)

But the diagrams for that are on a g1. I have a 98 GST and idk were those are located. can some1 show me a picture. Also do i need some type of spliter?

You need a t Splitter. I can go take a picture of my setuo for you take like 15 minutes.

But your FPR Solenoid is on the driver's side of the engine bay. Its mounted up near the firewall. Be back with a pic.

would a hardware store sell it or would my local autozone maybe have it =O

why cant i just disconnect my stock guage my car comes with? and replace it with after market

If your tube is one of the white nylon lines You can either get a barbed fitting (the kind for slip on vacuum lines) or do what I did and slide the nylon line a vacuum line and seal it in there with some RTV silicone. The stuff you use for gaskets.

hmm what aftermarket tubeing can i buy? also u know how GST come with a stock crappy boost guage? cant i just disconnect that one use the tube that has and connect it to my new after makret one?

That thing is not a boost gauge. It is just a high low boost indicator.

I don't even know where that thing hooks up at. You can get silicone vacuum hose all day long at oreillys, advance auto, or autozone, or pepboys, or napa, Some stores even have fancy blue, red, yellow colored vac lines.

I am not sure where to get a barbed fitting. I just slid the white nylon line into a vacuum line and squeezed some spooge (RTV silicone) in there and put some vacuum line clamps on it. Working fine for me. But if you can find a fitting that will screw onto your boost that might be easier.

alright thanks ill have to wait till 2 mrw there closed now you mind if i send u a private message if i run into problems?

the stock boost gauge dosent use vacuum hoses. its electrical and it gets its signal direclty from the ecu which uses the mdp sensor on the manifold to determine pressure/vacuum

Your kit should have came with a t fitting, a rubber boot to slide over the split which also has a small enough hole for the nylon tubing, brass compression fitting for the back of the boost gauge. All of that will work , but people like to upgrade to the silicone vacuum line because that nylon tubing is very flimsy and weak.

To get a barb fitting, you'll have to check your local hardware stores. Lowes and homedepot didn't have the proper sized fittings so I had to goto an Ace Hardware store for it.

The stock gauge is electrical and just lets you know if there is positive pressure or not. There are many options on where you can put your gauge ( A pillar pod, stock gauge bezel, single pod mount etc.)
