Installed Iridium Spark plugs..CAr now misfires

I installed NGk iridium spark plugs and bought new chep wires from pep boys n now car misfires. Installed old spark plugs n car still misfires. What do i do

My laser was running like crap last week when i bought it and all i did was get ngk BPR 6ES spark plugs, gapped them at .028, then bought some apc wires off ebay for 40 bucks and that solved my problems.

Get different wires and see if that helps at all. The spark plugs are only about a dollar each so pick up some of those too.

#1. Stop skipping english class

- Aside from that, what are the plugs gapped at?
- What kind of wires? You said cheap, You may have just answered you question. "Think"
- Did you check the coil?
- Pull all the plugs and make sure that all of them are getting spark.
- If they are backtreck through the ignithion until you find a problem, just keep eliminating things like that and it will make it much easier on yourself.

DSMing rule #1. DO NOT RUN PLATINUM OR IRIDIUM PLUGS ON TURBO DSM's. You will only increase your chances of detonation. Bpr6es for stockish setups, bpr7es for more extreme setups. That is all you'll ever need, you will not gain anything by using different plugs.

Backfire how? During idle or WOT? Do you have the wires in the right order? If so, BPR6ES at .028" and take the money saved and get yourself a $40 NGK wires, stick to what has been proven to work. Good luck.
