Hey i just finished installing my Evo 3 16g nice smooth operation but when i took the car for a spin connected the logger to it i starded getting knock an i am at 7psi and my o2r was very low like 0.83 to 0.87 i think that way to lean any ideas why it can be so lean and how can i fix that the car is all stock just the turbo in it for now any ideas why is it so lean?

Do yourself a favor and get some supporting upgrades BEFORE you upgrade your turbo. YOu will thank me for it.
You are probably running LEAN. Even if you could run 7psi on the Evo III, you will probably have boost creep like crazy.

You need a fuel pump or someting else to keep from killing you motor. I had a evo3 on a stock car and it would fuel cut at 9psi.

How much knock are you seeing? It shouldn't be knocking at only 7psi. Do a boost leak test before buying anything. You should be able to keep the 16g arond 10-11psi on stock fuel. It will feel slower then your stock turbo though because of the lag on the bigger housing. After doing a thorough boost leak test, I would upgrade your fuel pump first. Also what were your IDC's?

BE careful i melted a set of spark plugs wheni put a turbo in with out the support i was lucky i didnt blow the whole thing

yeah i got a 255 pump sitting in my room but no injectors or afpr yet, so i parked this bad boy on the driveway so i dont blow it up i shuld be getting my injectors and afpr shorlty so i guess i just wait before boosting :) what afpr wuld you guys recomand ?

thank you for quick replays
