install a M/T ecu into an A/T car

I have 2 Gst's.
One is my parts car which is a M/T 97 GST,
and a regular 98 A/T GST..

My questions are; can i install the M/T ecu from my 97 Gst into the A/T 98 Gst?

If so, what do i need to do and what parts do i need?

Are the fuel injectors the same size?

It will fit, everything is the same, the only different is the A/T has an extra ECU for the Transmission.

The auto trans cars came with 390 cc injectors. The m/t's came with 450 cc injectors.

well i installed it but my engine does not crank...i dont think everything is the same...

like if they have had experience with the situation...that is the whole reason why i asked. i was just curious to see ..

It should have worked. You'll note that within the same model year the part numbers for 2G turbo ECUs are the same AT or MT and slightly different between AWD and FWD Eclipse Talon Laser Galant 3000GT Stealth ECU ID Reference

The 98 should have had a black plastic flashable ECU but the 97 ECU is pin compatible if I remember correctly. Perhaps your parts car ECU doesn't work.
