I got my hands on a 99 gsx ecu. I really would like to install this in place of my safc.
I read a lot about it and issues with the 95 inverted cas. I wanted some feedback on anyone running this setup before I order my flash cable. Especially any solutions to issues that arose during the process. I would much rather address the case, pin outs, and firing order etc. Before running into them.

I don't think it will work sorry bud

C'mon, if your going to blurt out answers on every thread, at least make sure your not wrong. The flashable ECU in a 95-97 is in fact possible and has been done numerous times.

I have an H8 in my 96... but i also had a 6 bolt swap at the time with the 1g CAS mod when i first put it in... no issues at all. all i had to do was swap the order of my plugs.

I will be also doing this upgrade real soon on my 95. I was thinking of using the 1g cas and do away with the crank triger all together. Is that a bad idea?

The pin-out was 79 for the ecu to flash cable, if I read it correctly. I have a stock 7 bolt and have no plans of installing a 6 bolt. Most of the threads I have read involve a 6 bolt swap of some sort. If no one has posted any ill effects to this point, I will just get that 1g cas and test things out. Inless anyone has additional information they care to share.

I would just get a 97-99 CAS and you'll also have to hook up a wire for the flash connector to the ECU. Remember, you need the Openport 2.0 cable for flashing the 97-99 ECU.

I read that the 97-99 cas is not threaded the same as the 95-96. I do not want to swap the gears to make this work.
