Innovate Dual Function Oil Press\temp Gauge Problem

I have month old , innovate dual function pressure and temp gauge , and the pressure just stopped working yesterday . Anyone had that issue before ? I am not sure if it the gauge or the sending unit problem.

Check wire connection on oil pressure sender unit.

I did remove the old wires , and ran another one from the gauge it self to the sending unit, and nothing . Is there a way I can check the sending unit with multimeter or something ?

If the gauge is not working then it wont show anything! How is the sensor mounted? Explain exactly.whats happened? Does it turn on, flicker, show any numbers or led's?

It just reads 0 psi , it powers on , it read the oil temp only .

Ground the sender wire and turn key to just on. Gauge should read highest. If it does, the sender is bad. If not, bad gauge or broken wire.

I tried gauge doesn't respond at all . Just stays at 0 ! I guess I'll be requesting RMA.

I doubted my old gauge, turns out it was probably right.

But to remove any doubt, I'm switching to a mechanical gauge this year.

I just replaced my sensor because it was leaking and now the oil pressure doesn't change much. It stays around 30 throughout the entire rpms range. Is this normal?

How's the sensor mounted? If it's directly mounted to the engine it might have been vibrated to death. Many sensors for oil pressure don't handle vibration well. I've had them die after a couple weekends at the track and some googling will show you this is quite common. Solution is to remote mount it on the frame.

I have the sensor on an oil filter sandwich. And when I replaced the sensor it was a newer style and I just learned that the old gauge will not work with the newer smaller sensor. So I have to put in a newer version sensor
