Injectors Won't Fit in New Intake Manifold

so i have tore my old intake off....and went to install a new manifold that my fiance got me off ebay and the injectors wont fit in all the way! has anyone ran into this problem? if so how do you go about fixing it? i have done some modifi to it because it didnt have a spot for my egr tube and the map sensor so i really doubt they will let me return it! Im in a really big bind cause this is my only ride and i need it back together before tomorrow! HELP PLEASE!!??

You sure it's for a 420A and not a 4g63?

first off it sounds like you got the OBX intake mani. next yes you need to drill a hole for your map sensor but All guys who buy this manifold do not put their egr back on. you can find a block off plate for cheap.

next, the injectors wont fit? or the fuel rail wont fit? because I had a problem with my fuel rail not fitting right not the injectors themselfs.

On second thought how much was the intake?

it was the one off ebay and yeah it for the 420A....i tryed putting the whole rail in first and the injectors wouldnt go in all the way....so i took one injector off and tryed it but it will not slide all the was in! it still got about a inch to slide in...almost like the injectors holes arent deep enough

weird.. I had the same manifold and had no problem with the injectors.

think im fixing it....i openned the holes up a lil and i got two injectors in perfect gonna do the other two hopefully they will seal and not leak! thanks and ill let you kno what happens,but i wouldnt reconmend anyone getting this manifold cause its alot of work

hey can we get a picture of that intake manifold? I dont think anyone has ever seen one before..

The intake manifold was a knock off of the obx IM and as we all know, obx IM is a knock off of the Venom IM.

the injector holes were not large enough.

This intake manifold sells for about 100 from a seller on ebay.

It was a OBX knock off like he said.....and also a pain in my butt! The holes for the injectors were not big enough...the injectors wouldnt slide in at all! and as far as i know this one looks just like the obx one.... i have a picture of it on my profile....but again thanks

It sounds like you got lucky... injector bosses usually need to be rather smooth in order to form a good seal with an O-ring. Typically opening the hole with a hand drill isn't sufficient.

i had the same problem with mine just put smaller size o rings on and lubed them up with soap they went right in.
