injectors without dcmlink?

ok so i got a 97 talon tsi. with a 14b or 16g. not sure will post pics soon. im looking to up my boost but was told i need bigger injectors and fuel pump. i was looking into getting 650 maybe 750cc injectors and 190 walbaro fuel pump. i read a threed where they stated that not to put injects without a tuning device like dsm link. note have and automatic. please help out to confirm this or not. will be running boost least test soon too, but looking to know what to get for the car. i got a 1200.00 and looking to get the most out it and most parts.

Your ECU is factory tuned for 450cc injectors. If you put any others in, it's still going to think you're running 450cc injectors and won't adjust for the added fuel. You're going to run like crap and hate it.

Yes, you need a tuning device.

I would DEFINENTLY grab DSMlink, you'll can do so much with it even if you decide to grab a bigger turbo down the road. So that's ~ 500

Grab some injectors & fuel pump (really doesn't matter what size, that's why you tune it )
I picked up brand new 850's and a 250walbaro for 300 bucks.

You might have a few bills left to spare, depending on what you buy.

Sure, you can put them in....but be ready to have the car run like absolute shit, get 8mpg, and blow the engine in about 500 miles from all the unburnt fuel entering the crankcase.

Buy a tuning tool, then buy injectors.
