Searched the forum and couldnt find the answer to my specific question, so here goes...

All right, when I bought my 92 GS N/T a few months ago, the guy told me he put upgraded injectors on it that were one size larger than stock. Since then, I have talked to him and he told me they are AEM injectors, but no clue what size, still only one size up from stock. Now from what I understand, stock size for a 1g n/t is 240cc, correct? Now my question would be what is the next size up injector that is made by AEM? Any Ideas?

I was also told that I could use stock injectors from a Galant from 94 to 96....something about they are better at atomizing fuel and will give added power without upgrading fuel pump, etc? If it turns out that the injectors I have now are way too big, I would like to try this route....

Upgraded injectors should not be installed without a tuning device to control them and a logging device to see what you are doing.

The upgrade path in the Tech section of the site has a fantastic upgrade path.

The only other mods that have been done to the car are exhaust related.

I do intend on getting a dsmlink or safc in the near future, but for now, I am just trying to find out whats in the car so I can tune it right when I get one, etc...

Diablos, would this cause idle surge and poor gas mileage? It seems as if the car burns more fuel at times...after about 60-70 miles on a full tank without the needle moving, it drops over a 1/4 tank...between 1/2 and 1/4 tank is burnt in that short amount of mileage...And other times its more.. Almost like the ECU is comping for the larger injectors half the time. The exhaust is very rich....

Ok first, you can not use dsm link do to the fact they only make it for the turbo models:cry:
And with no tuning your gas millage is going to be really bad because it is putting more fuel in the motor than what is needed. Really if you have don't plan on a turbo or anything you don't need larger injectors. The stock ones well do just fine and then you don't have to mess with tunning the car (which with our motor is a nightmare). Most of the problems your having are probably the side effects of running so rich (like filed plugs, Bad o2 senser ect.). So the easiest way to get the car running rite would probably be too ditch the injectors and go back to stock ones:thumb:

I probably wont turbo it unless I do a complete rebuild on the motor, and trust me, that wont happen anytime soon...

I now have another problem that has been developing over the past few days...when I pull up to a stop sign or light, etc. the car starts to stumble and sounds like its only running 2 cylinders...The oil pressure drops to 0 and it sounds/feels like crap.... car vibrates, etc. Seems to go away though when I rev the engine up to about 4k rpm and hold it for a few seconds..Any ideas if this is related to my other issues?

Also, would the stock turbo injectors work from a 90 laser my GS without tuning? from what I understand they are only about 25cc more than stock N/T ones...

Lastly, anyone know someone looking for larger injectors :sneaky:

I would say as long as the injector harness is the same from the laser, Go for it theres only one way to find out:D. As for as the oil pressure thing, Dont drive the car until you find out whats wrong! No oil pressure can mean big boom! Which means you:cry: LOL But i cant began to tell you what your problem is there maybe some one else can help you. All i know IS DON'T DRIVE IT

Change your plugs and plug wires if you havent yet already. That could be why your stumbling at stop lights
