Hey guys sorry for the noob question LOL and sorry if this has been covered before used search and I couldn't find anything.

Anyway I scored myself a good deal on some Siemens 750cc injectors which are a "straight bolt on" ( I've learnt the hard way that straight bolt on doesn't always mean straight bolt on LOL). I'm just wanting to know if theres anything I need to consider when swapping them over? Someone told me swapping injectors is like swapping sparkplugs but i get the feeling thats theres a bit more to it when it comes to swapping injectors? Looks pretty straight forward but I wanna make sure that I don't make any idiot newbie mistakes thats gonna end up costing me later, thanks for your help guys.

If the injectors were made specifically for turbo model dsm then yes it will be plug and play.
Just make sure to tune them right after or you will be running rich.

It's a snap to do. Here's a writeup on how to knock it out. The only things I do differently are: removing the feed and return lines from the rail, and I don't remove the pcv valve...I just pull the vac line from it. I'll also stress that you need to make sure the o-rings at the top of the injectors are lubed when inserting them in the rail...a tear in that o-ring can cause an external fuel leak and/or lean condition in a cylinder, neither of which you want LOL.

Nice write up. Replacing the o-rings with new ones (assuming they are used) is a cheap way to save yourself some headaches in the future.

While the injectors are a straight bolt on, I'm hoping you realize you need an AFC to control the fuel. Going to be running realllllllll rich, if the car will even start up with 750s in there.

Thanks for the write up clears it up for me big time. Just 1 last Q what kinda lube should I be using on the o-rings? SrKegler no need to worry Ive got a bigger fuel pump, afpr, safc and a keydiver chip all going into the car and it will be getting a dyno tune before it gets back on the road.

Frankly, you can use a little spit, or a schmear of oil from inside the filler cap on the valve cover. I might get flamed for those suggestions, but it works for me, and I've never had any issues doing either. And they are both pretty handy LOL.

Thanks Matthewdesigns. I got yet another Q my injectors didn't come with insulators so guess I'm off to buy some next week. Will oem ones from my local Mitsubishi dealership work on the Siemens injectors?

If the injectors fit in your fuel rail and head, then the insulators ought to fit. Just to be sure, take one down to the dealer and check it out to be certain.
