1G Injector Resistor box with Motec M400 ECU?

Hello all, new to the forum.

I’ve looked through the faqs and couldn’t find anything( before I hear uSe tHe seARcH bUtTOn)


I’m running 720 cc low Z injectors on my 1G Eagle talon
Problem is, I wanted to puchsee high Z injectors but found out that I don’t even have a resistor box.
It already has that resistor box plug delete.
Also, I’m running a Motec M400. Don’t know if you can change amperage to the injectors through this ecu. Measured injectors to verify it’s low Z and it is.

I thought my injector drives would have burnt to a crisp by now.

Should I buy high Z injectors or lowZ?? Don’t know what to do at this point. Obviousness points to purchasing low Z injectors but idk if that correct.

Check with motec and see what they recommend.

MoTeC are made with peak & hold driver outputs. Peak & hold drives can drive saturated (high Z) injectors too.

From the manual...
Different injectors require different operating currents. The ECU injector drives must be programmed to suit the injector using the Injector Current setup parameter.
