Injector questions?

FIC injectors are great injectors. I especially like the price. That is a good price for those, but you should evaluate your car's goals. That way, if you're planning to run more hp in the future, you can just buy the injectors you need once. There's no sense in buying the 550cc's, then step up to 650cc's, then when you want more, get 750cc's, etc. Catch my drift?

So, what are you planning to do with the car?

I've only used FIC's and have had no issues with them. If you don't know where these are coming from and if they were run at high IDC for a long period of time, I'd send them out for cleaning and flow testing. While you're doing that, have a new set of Viton seals installed since these hold much better boost and last longer than the standard rubber seals.

Hope that helps,

Andy

im assuming these are used injectors, because that is a very low price.

Fuel Injector Clinic, im assuming is the "FIC" you were refering to. A lot of people like them, and I have heard good things. They are well known in the DSM community.

If they are used, have them flow tested and make sure they are operating properly, and are not cracked or damaged.

It also depends on your setup, what you plan to do with the car, and what your goals are. Tell us more, and we can help more...

They are great injectors but like everyone else has said look at your power goals before you buy them.

Has anyone used FFWD's injectors?

Well the car has superafc 2 aremotive afpr 2g mas air sensor and datalogger . the turbo is a evo3 16g mhi . It is running 450s though! So what do you guys suggest . These injectors are in our price range.

Darn you guys!!

Beat you :tease: I've learned well from Andy... So well, in fact, I beat him, too. ROFL

Edit: because you upgraded to 2g MAS, you're running lean anyway. So, you could put the 550cc's in and not have to do any compensation or SAFC settings whatsoever and have it run good. I'd suggest 650cc's or so. That's about the limit of what you can tune with the SAFC.

I have been looking at the FFWD injectors, and I am leaning towards the fact that they are FICs, but Im going to shoot Darren an email to make sure. Also what are your goals...like everyone else already said. If you do go past 660s, then you will need a DSMLink, and logger, the S-AFC II kinda falls short when using larger injectors, due to its use of compensation for fuel and timing combined. Cant get the max tune from the S-AFC when going past 660s. Also go to RRE and check out the injector chart in the fuel section, it shows the proper injectors to choose according to turbo's, boost levels, and fuel octane.
Just got an email back from Darren and yes they are FICs he said, that other kinds of injectors are there?:p
