Just wondering whether it's worth the effort to try and swap out the plugs only or just go ahead and clip the old leads and solder in the new ones.

On an unrelated note... A .020 overbore took care of the scuffing from when the ring lands melted on the #2 cylinder and the cylinder wall and piston were spending a little too much quality time together...

I get the block back from the machine shop Tuesday afternoon... So now I get to put the motor back together and do misc stuff to the car while I save up for a replacement turbo. :thumb:
 
I would just clip the old leads and solder on the new plugs. That way you know it will be right. You don't want to get the motor finished and then find out you have a problem because you didn't do something you should have. Get that dsm back on the road!
 
The injector wires (and most of the wiring in the engine bay) is likely hard and brittle so you may need to cut back a ways. If you get the connectors without wire (like those at summit) you can put as much wire on them as you need to do the job right and only have one splice.
