reant on!!! I'm pretty pissed, I got a injector kit and went to install it today got it all apart and realized these hard plastic tips for the injector were like twice as long as the old ones. I called them and told them, he said cut them, pretty much your on your own. As thats the part number that pulled up for your car. :p

So I attempted to cut them to size, first trying to save the old ones. That was impossible as they were so old, and hard they just shattered into pieces . I thought about just leaving the old ones on. The newer seal just slid over it real easy, too easy I figured thats not going to seal. So the first one I cut I held with some pliers, and used a small mac tool knife, it shot off on the floor when it cut , actually it only cut a small bit, and broke the rest of the way. luckily i could trim the broke section back flush with the rest instead of the other way around.

It was pretty hard to get it on the injector because they are tapered on the end, and cutting half off only worsened it. Which is why when I cut the last two, and tried pressing on they broke down the side, and now there is a big section missing on the side of the injector. How the #### is that shit supposed to seal, I'll never buy parts from them again, I'd rather make parts then buy anything from them:banghead::barf::notgood:.....rant off.

You know I looked at some other injectors that has a long tip on them, I'm wondering why are these short?....

when you replace your injectors and you match them up to the old ones and they don't match, there is a problem. i would ask for a refund and go with a trusted source, or a dsmer in the classified sections.

I didn't replace the injector, only all the seals for them.

Mine look like the first one, if you notice how significantly longer the others are compared.

oh sorry i misread your post.

advance auto parts carries the seals in-stock for like $1.99. Why not just use them or another parts store?

you need the lowers correct? go to carquest tell them you need lower injector seals and to get them from world pac i work there and i just bought a set for myself odds are they can get them same day

Yeah, thats what I needed, but the kit came with replacement tips too. I don't know the name of the part, and they didn't have an exploded view of it. Its pressed right on the end of the injector, then you slide the seal that seals to the head, over it.

This is a picture if it, its not the actual seal that sits seals it in the head but a cap if you will for the tip, or insulator.LOL, I threw the hand in for Sh*&s, and giggles.LOL

ive never had to change them on stock injectors. ive never seen the replacements for stock injectors i had to buy replacements for my ptes but they are totally diffrent. Even though they use the stock lower seals.

They're called pintle caps.

Thanks steve, is there somewhere I can order some or something? Maybe I could heat them up nice, and good then cut them and press them on....I didn't think I'd have too. Question about how they seal when you bolt the rail down does it press the seal down so that being some slop or play in there wouldn't even matter? I could have just left them alone, and replaced the other o rings?
