I'm having issues with a misfire on my 96 GSX. I had a misfire on cylinder 2 CEL come on. The car would intermittently run like garbage (no power/sounds like a subaru). The problem went from being intermittent to being all the time.

Trying to figure out what the issue was I unplugged the injector clip to cylinder 2 while it was misfiring and the idle stayed the same. I moved the injector from cylinder 2 over to cylinder 3 to see if the misfire CEL moved to cylinder 3 and it did in fact. So I assumed it was a bad injector.

I went out and bought a set of used stock injectors and swapped out the bad injector. But, the car still runs like junk. I tried multiple injectors from the set I bought. Same problem. I swapped out the ECU with a known working one and still had the same issue.

Tomorrow I'm checking the spark plugs and wires. Any other suggestions?
 
Would it have thrown a different code for a bad injector? Why did the misfire CEL move to cylinder 3 when I moved the injector?
