Injector colors?

So I put some 550's in my 1G TSI AWD. Blue top 450's came out, I expected that. However yesterday I was looking for the cause of po170 in my 95' TSI AWD 5sp and noticed that there are black top 450's in it. I thought that black top's went in automatics? I know that this car has had another engine put in it before I purchased it so it would not surprize me if it came out if an automatic. My question is that they both (blue and black) say 450 on the side, are they different? The nozzles are shaped differently. Anyway I swapped the blacks for the blues and the CEL has yet to come back, it's only been about 50mi so we'll see if that fixed it. Does anyone have any input on this?

I have heard of 450cc's colored black. I wouldnt worry about it. I heard 390's are pink....but when they came out of my car they were gray. It says what CC they are right on the injector.

If they both (blue and black) say 450cc's more than likely you had 2G injectors in it. 2G injectors are black tops, and have a different spray pattern.

ummm, my 4 fiddys out of my 95 are green. the 4 fiddys that came in my cyc. motor were blue

Colors can vary. Its not set in stone, nor is it specific to just once size of injector. Look at the markings on the side. They will tell you the CC.
